Welcome to The Relax. Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") carefully before using our platform, including our website and mobile applications ("Platform"), and the services provided therein ("Services").

This Agreement governs your access to and use of the Platform operated by the The Relax team. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you must not use the Platform.

1. Core Definitions

  • "Platform": Refers to the The Relax website, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and any related subdomains or services.
  • "User" / "You": Any individual who creates an account or uses the Platform to access Services or content.
  • "Provider" / "Therapist": A licensed, accredited, and independent mental health professional who provides their consulting and therapeutic services via the Platform.
  • "Services": Includes but is not limited to, live therapy sessions, educational courses, self-assessment tools, and published content.

2. Nature of Services & Medical Disclaimer

2.1. Platform's Role

The Relax is a technology platform that facilitates communication between Users and independent mental health Providers. Providers are not employees or agents of The Relax. They are independent contractors who are solely responsible for the professional and legal aspects of the services they provide.

2.2. Not for Emergencies

The Platform is not intended for mental health emergencies or acute crises. If you are experiencing a crisis, or are contemplating harming yourself or others, you must immediately contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

3. User Eligibility and Account Security

3.1. Legal Age

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use the Services. Minors may use the Platform only under the direct supervision and with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3.2. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. The Relax will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.

4. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

4.1. Payment

Fees for sessions and other services are paid in advance through the secure payment gateways available on the Platform. You agree to provide accurate and complete payment information.

4.2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Users can cancel or reschedule a session free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Cancellations, rescheduling, or no-shows within 24 hours of the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee up to the full cost of the session, at the Platform's discretion.

4.3. Refunds

Payments for completed sessions are non-refundable. In cases of technical failures originating from the Platform that prevent a session from occurring, or in other exceptional circumstances, each case will be reviewed individually. For assistance, please contact our support team.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content available on the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, user interface, courses, and articles (excluding user-generated content), is the exclusive property of The Relax and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our content without our express written permission.

6. User Conduct and Obligations

You agree to use the Platform for lawful purposes and in a respectful manner. You are strictly prohibited from:

  • Using the Platform for any illegal or fraudulent purpose.
  • Harassing, threatening, or harming any other user or Provider.
  • Posting content that infringes on others' rights, is hateful, or pornographic.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts.

The Relax reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account of any user who violates these terms, without prior notice.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

We take your privacy very seriously. Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By agreeing to these Terms, you also consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform and Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Relax disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform or Services, including any advice, diagnosis, or treatment provided by a Provider.

9. Modifications to the Agreement

We reserve the right to modify or update this Agreement at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new version on this page or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
